SWRPC Regional Housing Needs Assessment logo

Housing is a hot issue. In NH and throughout the country, scarce available housing is putting a strain on working families and preventing businesses from recruiting and retaining workers. Impacts from the housing crisis are rippling through communities. Throughout 2022, SWRPC will examine data, conduct analyses and collect feedback from regional stakeholders to identify and prioritize Southwest New Hampshire’s top housing issues and develop recommendations to address these issues as part of our Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA). This project will look in-depth at the housing needs of our Region across all income levels. The RHNA will also contain tools, recommendations, and strategies for local decision makers to address this problem in their communities, providing a foundation for change.

Community engagement will be critical for this project, and we are hoping to hear from you. Tell us about how the housing crisis has impacted you personally, your business, or your community? If you are someone who works on the front lines of this issue, what have been the successes and challenges for you or your organization? Tell us what works and what doesn’t?
