Please join the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund and Southwest Region Planning Commission on a guided bus tour as we explore the Monadnock Region’s housing needs and how resident-owned manufactured home communities are a critical piece of the puzzle.

New Hampshire and the Monadnock Region are facing a housing shortage, which is limiting our ability to attract and retain a high-quality workforce. Resident-owned communities (ROCs) are one of New Hampshire’s great success stories, a model that allows working families to build equity, achieve housing stability, and enjoy a high-quality living environment. The bus tour is a unique opportunity to gain first-hand perspective on the benefits that ROCs offer. We’ll stop at two ROCs, hear from residents, and learn from experts in the field. Municipal staff, local officials, realtors, employers, service providers, and anyone with an interest in enhancing housing opportunity within the region are welcome to attend.

The event, scheduled for Tuesday, September 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. is free and includes lunch at one of the ROCs. The bus tour will begin and end at the Keene Transportation Center, located on Gilbo Avenue off of Main Street in downtown Keene. Public parking is available in the adjacent Commercial Street Parking Lot.

Please note that masks will not be required, but we will have KN95 masks available for anyone who would like one.

We hope you will join us and look forward to hearing from you! Register by Tuesday, September 20th. If you have questions, please contact Senior Planner Todd Horner at [email protected] or (603) 357-0557.
