The Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC) is currently accepting letters of interest for its Catalyst Program (formerly known as the State Economic and Infrastructure Development Grant Program.) The program supports a wide variety of economic and community development projects, including those related to hard infrastructure improvements, childcare facilities, community centers, business and workforce development, healthcare, tourism, and more. For a full list of eligible purposes see the grant application manual.

NBRC is offering an information session tomorrow, April 6th, at noon, for prospective applicants in Belknap, Cheshire, and Sullivan County. The information session will be held virtually at the link here. Pre-registration is not necessary. The session will cover applicant eligibility, letters of interest, application components, project eligibility, budget, and will provide opportunity for questions! NBRC’s cost-share requirements will also be addressed. In Cheshire County, the required local match has been reduced to 20% during the 2023 funding cycle, down from the 50% required during previous years.

For prospective applicants who cannot attend the April 6th meeting, another meeting is scheduled for Friday April 7th at noon. This meeting will focus on Carrol and Grafton County, but applicants from other counties are welcome to join. The vast majority of presented materials will pertain to applicants from all NH counties within NBRC’s service area. You can join the meeting at the link here..

The application timeframe is moving quickly. Letters of interest, which are mandatory, are due by April 21st. Full proposals are due by June 2nd.

If you have questions, please contact Steve Fortier, Administrator of Rural Economic Development at the NH Department of Business and Economic Affairs. He can be reached at [email protected].
