Monadnock Region Parks and Play Municipal Guide

The Monadnock Region is known for its abundance of places for residents of all ages and abilities to get outside and be active. The Region’s parks, open spaces and trails are valuable assets that provide a multitude of health, social, economic, and environmental benefits to the Region’s communities and those who live, work and play in them.

SWRPC developed the Parks and Play Municipal Guide to provide municipalities with planning recommendations for improving existing and developing new park and recreation spaces. The Guide includes best practice recommendations, tools, resources, and relevant community examples for the multiple elements that are essential to creating parks and play spaces that reflect a community’s vision for development and increase the likelihood they are fully utilized by the public.
