Program 2: Regional Critical Access to Care Service

The Critical Access to Care Service (CACS) is a backup, last resort service for MRCC affiliated volunteer driver programs that are unable to assign volunteer drivers to provide certain critical medical rides. The proposed service area is shown in the map below. The proposed service requires that people requesting rides try to find a ride through a volunteer driver program first, prior to accessing the service. It is not meant for emergency rides or urgent care rides. Riders eligible for Medicaid transport services would not qualify for this service.
