Gilsum Hazard Mitigation Plan Update Comment Period

The Gilsum Hazard Mitigation Plan serves as a means to reduce future losses from natural or man-made hazard events before they occur. By maintaining an updated Hazard Mitigation Plan every five years, the Town is eligible to receive grant funding for mitigation projects. The latest update was developed by the Gilsum Hazard Mitigation Planning Team with help from SWRPC. The 2026 Draft Hazard Mitigation Plan Update is available online, here, or at Gilsum Town Offices during regular business hours for review and public comment from Monday, February 2, through Friday, February 20, 2026.

Comments on the draft plan may be provided:
