Energy Planning

Energy plays a critical role in regional and local planning initiatives. The issues of energy use and conservation are important considerations in all of SWRPC’s program areas including transportation, land use, natural resource, and economic development. This page is intended to provide information and resources on energy issues that affect Southwestern New Hampshire.

Based on your progress to-date, needs and desires, the ETAP-NHC team will help your municipality identify opportunities where your community can benefit financially and environmentally from increased energy efficiency and provide assistance to implement those changes. The team can assist in every step of the energy efficiency planning and implementation process, from identifying the strategies and technologies to reducing energy consumption, to providing easy-to-use tools to track your community’s savings, to providing technical services such as energy audits for municipal buildings.

For more information on the ETAP-NHC program click here or contact SWRPC Planner Tara Germond at (603) 357-0557 or tgermond@swrpc.org.
